My partner and I had a nice late summer walk from Castle Eden up to an old barn near Wingate, County Durham.

The Speckled Wood is a common butterfly and familiar to many observers, especially in woodland where, as its name suggests, it is most often found.
Common Blue Damselfly - These lovely insects are so hard to capture. They are also difficult to see to begin with as they are small compared to their dragonfly cousins.
