These butter yellow flowers emit a strong but not unpleasant buttery odour, especially in warm weather.

This disused railway line extends from Haswell to Hart, just north of Hartlepool. This section photographed is near Castle Eden. The whole walkway is just over 5 miles long. In late Spring, the walkway is rich in wildlife, plants, flowers and trees.
