All the building work that is going on in Durham City makes for some interesting shots.
Taken during the final weekend of September 2021, Autumn is slowly appearing along with cooler weather and the trees just starting to turn. An overcast sky is tricky to photograph.

In the South Quire aisle you can see the window installed in 1995 to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of St Cuthbert’s Shrine arriving at Durham. It combines Holy Island and St Cuthbert with the modern world.

Under some of the umbrellas there are wooden "raindrops" with a message or name on them, some in memory of someone who has passed. A lovely idea. I like this photo because of the chap in the foreground looking up at the umbrellas.
